Milestones

What is a Reach for Change milestone?

A Milestone describes a desired state of the organization within a particular area. Reaching a milestones implies that all crucial elements and processes for its successful existence and growth are in place and working well. The milestones that are set in Reach for Change Toolkits platform are milestones that Reach for Change have set based on 10 years of experience of working with social entrepreneurs. Each milestones takes you closer to reaching a stage where you have proven your solution and business model (Proof of Concept) and have gotten ready to scale (Scaling Readiness).

Should I work on one milestone after the other?

You can start working on several milestones at the same time as they are not sequential. The milestones within the development areas are interconnected. No need to check one to go to the next milestone: a lot of them can be worked on simultaneously.

Action Points

What is an Action Point and how can it help me?

An Action point is a concrete action that helps you as a social entrepreneur to reach a given milestone. There are between 4 and 8 Action Points for each milestone. For each Action Point, we offer you a toolkit that guides and supports you through its completion.

Access

Why are some of the Action Points not accessible to me?

The core of Reach for Change's work is to support social entrepreneurs that we select to our incubator programs--our Change Leaders and their team. The full content of the Reach for Change Toolkits platform is restricted to our Change Leaders and their teams, and to some of our specific partners. Development Stages

What does it mean to be in the Proof of Concept development stage?

Proof of Concept is the development stage where, as a social entrepreneur, you are focusing on demonstrating the validity of your solution and of your business model. By the end of Proof of Concept you should have reached a point where you have shown that your solution creates the desired impact on beneficiaries and that your business model can sustain your solution. Once you have completed Proof of Concept, you will be ready to embark on the journey towards Scaling Readiness.
